Clintwood vs Gate City

No Clintwood had a good team in 03 but GC was on top of the world that year in 04 Clintwood was close to the same level (may have dropped of a little but still close) GC Droped alot but was still the 2nd best team in the reagion

Wasn't Clintwood score higher than that? I believe we had fifty some points. Am I that senile? Don't answer that.

If Clintwood had played well against either Haysi or Appalachia, then I might be expecting an upset here. But, they had problems at time even with Coeburn. I think the half-time score in that game was only something like 14-13, and in the end only won 47-43.

I think Clintwood will be more evenly matched up with Gate City this year than in previous years but not yet on the same page as the Devils.

It was 47-33. Coeburn scored with less than 10 seconds to go to make the score more respectable. It was 47-25.

I honestly can't remember the final score, but I remember Clintwood going into the half with a 14-13 lead.

If I was a graduating member of the 2003 GC team and I seen people on here saying that the 2004 team was just as good or almost as good I would laugh until I cried. That is absurd. The 2003 GC with the exception of PV's team when Julius was a senior, was the best team I personally ever seen take the field.

Gc may beat us but i dont believe it will be by 42 pts.....i dont think either team will win by more than 2 tds

I agree, the 03 team was at least 4 td's better than the 04 team. Not taking anything away from 04, they were some great kids, but come on now.

You may be right, but I hope if you're not you hang around to eat crow and not just one of those who posts 3 times/5 times, shoots a lot of crap and then disappears.

Appy scored almost at will, PV had troubles, no telling what Clintwood team shows up, and how they do.

Guess we'll see
